40mm fan duct E3D V6 Bondtech (BMG compatible)
prusaprinters
My first contribution to the thingiverse. I decided to upgrade my FT-5 to an E3D V6 with a bondtech BMG and was quite frustrated to find the 30mm fan didn't work (at all). With nothing but a 40mm noctua laying around, I got busy in solidworks! I wasn't satisfied with the other designs I found on thingiverse for 40mm V6 coolers. They were either too loose, broke during mounting, or were overly complicated. Design feedback is always welcome. I have included both the STL and solidworks file if you are looking to modify my design! Post-Printing You can use 4x M3 screws and thread into the plastic, however if your printer is setup correctly, the screws will slide in and you can use M3 nuts in the included slots. The cooling duct tightens onto the E3D cooler using an m3x45mm screw and locking nut. Category: 3D Printing
