40mm Fan Duct
thingiverse
Human: I customized my hot-end mount, which necessitated a fan cooling mount for my printer. Although I don't use the fan while printing because I've never found an effective application for it during the process, it does come in handy when I need to cool down a print if I'm impatient and eager to remove it from the bed.\r\n\r\nThe duct delivers a strong airflow without reducing fan speed, a common issue with many ducts. It can be rotated around its x-axis pivot point for optimal performance. My mount was designed for M3 screws, but feel free to drill your own holes as long as you print with sufficient perimeters. The fan mounting holes are intentionally small so they can be precisely drilled and tapped if desired; I simply screwed in some spare screws for a makeshift tap.\r\n\r\nThe mount itself is minimalist to minimize plastic usage and enable quick reprinting in case it breaks or needs replacement.\r\n\r\nI'm sharing this design in the hopes that it will prove useful to someone.
