40mm Fan Adapters - Deprecated

This earlier version has been superseded by v2 - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:469920. It accommodates a differently sized fan (25mm thick) for use with a 40mm x 10mm connector. This swap decreases noise and sound levels while increasing CFM beyond a standard 40mm's capability. Taller versions (30mm higher) exist for the 120mm, 92mm, and 80mm fan mounts to enhance airflow. For the 40mm adapter, you'll need 3mm x 15mm fan mount screws, while 40mm connector requires 4.5mm x 30mm screws (4 of each type). The other mounting fans require 4mm x 30mm screws, and all fans should be 25mm or have adjusted screw lengths. Utilize heavy infill, such as 75% to 100%, due to the fan weight and screw requirements. The uploaded file demonstrates the mounted appearance; adjust printing as needed for optimal results, but a 180-degree flip (40mm side up, larger side down) may be best.
