I'm currently working on a project that involves designing and 3D printing my own EDF rc planes. The initial goal was to create a 40mm EDF with no specific plane design in mind, using the NACA aerofoils for higher lift wings. I aim to push the speed threshold over 100mph while achieving a decent glide slope. This project will also feature flaps and retracts, ensuring it meets my minimum requirement of a 4-channel setup. With a planned power system, the thrust-to-weight ratio is expected to be around 40%. As my design skills improve, I plan to move on to larger planes, making this an ongoing work in progress.
