Something dumb I wanted to make for a while, it's a simple "stealth" 40mm launcher meant to look like your run of the mill dslr camera, the idea was to make something useful as a prop for milsims and that hopefully will give some funny and unexpected kill on the airsoft fields 10/07/2022 update: I printed the design, fixed the two small issues and updated the files, mostly the lens lenght and the thread, now it works like a charm, i will take better pics sooner or later, but this vid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_DqZvQ6s0c) and pics will do 14/07/2022 update added a 3d printable striker assembly andmade some modification on the main body/frame of the camera to help get a better finish on the rear, now the threaded part of the frame and the sling attatchment are separate pieces that get screwed on the frame using small wood screws, this makes it possible to print the main body "upright" for a better finish while having the threaded part and the sling attatchment printable in the optimal orientation 27/072022 update added and updated 52mm lenscap compatible lens/40mm barrel and a 52mm lenscap to accompany it, the lenscap is just a simple press fit assembly and should snap together with no need or glue (even tho I highly suggest it), now the lens is 100m long, I'll be designing longer ones in the "near" future the design and assembly are pretty simple, it works with a really simple lever trigger that directly presses against the 40mm grenade "primer", thus firing the 40mm airsoft grenade material required - a 6mm od 75mm long dowel - a 6mm spring - 9 small wood screws - a piece of filament - glue assembly, - put the striker inside the hole in the striker bar - push a small piece a of 3d printer filament in the hole to keep it in place and glue it on - screw the lens thread in the main body of the camera using the wood screw's - push the sling point's in the body of the and screw them in place - slide the trigger with the spring inside of the frame - position the striker link inside of the camera frame, sliding it in betweeen the two trigger lugs - push the pin through camera frame and the striker link - screw in the striker inside the striker link and the camera frame - screw in the back pannel
