40k Plasma pistol

Making custom projects for friends sparked an idea to share this work in progress, I'm calling it that because the top needs to be scaled down to accommodate my printer's limitations which throws everything else off balance. I've realized that the radius requires substantial sculpting between the grip and top, not a small feat considering what lies ahead. A certain individual, whose intelligence is undoubtedly exceptional, chose to utilize a spline instead of an arc in this design, an unexpected choice but I won't argue against it now. The support structure, as one would expect, takes ages to remove once printed, which isn't the most ideal situation given the build time that's more days than hours at this point. I'd certainly welcome having a reliable printer to fall back on in these situations. When working with the model, I imported an image from Google and used it as reference to maintain accurate proportions within SolidWorks. To further ensure precise dimensions, I added my dimension box and carefully traced around the outer lines. In order to make manufacturing simpler and reduce waste caused by mistakes along the way, I decided to break down this design into separate components.
