This is a custom spool holder I specifically designed to fit 4040 extruded frames perfectly. The spool holder is engineered to handle heavy-duty 3kg spools, but its robust design can even manage up to 5kg spools with a significant diameter of 300mm, width of 120mm, and inner hole diameter of 50mm when using precise slicer settings. The two rail screws are optional but serve as essential fasteners that securely attach the holder pieces to the frame. The bolt running through the two major holder parts is also optional but highly recommended for 3kg or heavier spool sizes. This bolt hole accommodates a 3/8"-16 bolt with a minimum length of 7 inches. The clearance around the bolt is relatively tight, measuring approximately .386". Additionally, the spool holder can accept an M9 bolt of similar size. For optimal performance and stability, make sure to finger-tighten all screws, bolts, and nuts without using a wrench.
