This linear slide carriage for 4040 aluminum extrusions packs a heavy-duty punch. I engineered it to utilize 8 robust 608 bearings, and despite some uncertainty about its rated capacity, it's proven to be incredibly sturdy in my prototype z-axis setup for the printer. READ BEFORE USE: Before putting this design to work, take a moment to ensure a snug fit by printing a small cross-section that allows you to securely jam the bearings onto a 5mm-thick piece of aluminum. This will give you peace of mind knowing it's tailored to your specific extrusion.
