4040 2040 Vslot Extrusion Cable Wiring Management
thingiverse
I designed this to tidy up excess motor/endstop/extruder wires by zip tying them, making things neater. This can be attached to a 2040 or 4040 v slot extrusion (I use OpenBuilds) using M5x10mm bolts and post assembly T-nuts. How it works: 1) Insert the zip tie through the middle hole and leave it unzipped. 2) Play with the number of wraps around the prongs until you have just the right amount of slack to reach your electronics, etc. You can do regular winds or weave them in. If the approach angle of the wiring coming into the part is pretty awkward, you can do one wrap around the nearest prong, then start wrapping around both. 3) Close and tighten the zip tie around the wraps of wires. 4) Take a break to enjoy your favorite beverage. Change Log 9/7/2016 - There was an issue with the zip tie piece not printing with the first STL. I have uploaded a fixed version. I tested this morning and it works great. I added some photos and am marking this complete for now, but let me know if you want any kind of remix, such as longer prongs, 4 screw holes, etc.
