4020 Extension With Brace
prusaprinters
I needed a short extension for my remade anet a20. After making one, I realized it was difficult to brace it in place as the extension got in the way of the corner bracing. I decided to incorporate the extension and a corner brace in one part. This prints fairly well on end as shown, using a support enforcer in prusa slicer. This supports only the bottom of the extension as the details up inside don't need it at all. I have provided a 0.5, 1, 1.5 inch extension, but if you open the part in solid works, you can change it all you want. I'm not sure how well the step file will let you do that, but have at it. If you do open it in solid works, please don't judge me.. I JUST switched over from fusion after their license change, and I am not up to speed completely yet.. The first extrusion is "Unsolvable" but it still seems to work fine. If anyone knows how to fix that, I will upload their fix or whatever. Note the file includes a right and left side. Print Settings Printer: Geeetech A20M (Originally) Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30% Filament: Novamaker ABS Orange Post-Printing ============= My A20 isn't the most dimensionally accurate printer, and it required a little gentle persuasion to get it to slide into the extrusion. How I Designed This Poorly in solid works. It was a good introduction to using solidworks after years of fusion360. The fact that they pulled rapids out of CNC tool paths was a deal breaker for me.
