400 micron filter/strainer
thingiverse
This is a basic debris filter designed for use on a 7.5mm O/D pipe; other connections can be produced upon request, including the 6mm hose screw lock found on twist lock couplings. The filter itself measures 20mm in diameter and 30mm tall (not counting the hose attachment point). Print instructions: Mesh: The mesh is unlikely to be suitable for PLA printing as it needs to be fairly flexible; however, you're more than welcome to try. I've had some issues with the mesh myself and am unsure if it's the design or my printer! If you experience difficulties with this print, please let me know. First of all, THIS WILL NOT SLICE correctly as standard. Once imported into the slicer, gradually increase its scale by 1% each time until it slices correctly. Cura required a 2% increase before it would slice properly. The main thing to keep in mind with this print is not to use ABS slurry or any bed adhesion method that can't be dissolved away by a quick rinse in water. I printed successfully using nothing but a clean glass bed. Print settings: 240C extruder temperature 110°C bed temperature (no adhesive, no brim) 50 mm/s print speed 0.2mm layer height (it won't work at 0.3mm) Print time: 8 minutes Housing: Prep as any other print Printed in ABS No supports required 40mm/s print speed 0.2mm layer height 100% infill Print time: 45 minutes To assemble, I used a cotton bud to paint acetone onto one of the legs and stuck the mesh to it; then, I slowly worked my way around.
