A coprolite is a piece of fossilized feces. The term "coprolite" originates from the Greek words Kopros Lithos, meaning "dung stone." Essentially, coprolites are extremely ancient pieces of waste that have become hardened over an incredibly long time. Dating back to the Eocene Epoch, around 40 million years ago, is this remarkable piece of petrified sea turtle waste from Madagascar. A high-resolution scan has been made available.
