40 mm Fan Blade Protector
thingiverse
To avoid damaging extruder fans, I've learned to stop them when clearing jams. However, my clumsiness often leads me to insert the hex wrench into the fan blades instead of the socket hole, causing damage to the blades. Sometimes they break off completely. To prevent such accidents from happening again, I designed a fan guard with flexible slits that cover the fan and stay in place due to friction. The gaps are large enough for airflow but small enough to prevent accidental insertion of the hex wrench into the fan blades. This design also ensures easy access to the fan's screw holes, allowing me to remove it without taking off the entire cover.
