Dual-band helical antennas require precision engineering. The inner holes are carefully designed to accommodate frequencies at 1405 MHz, while the outer holes cater to signals at 1280 MHz. To enhance performance, use a 1.3mm solid copper wire and a FR4 circuit board blank for the reflector. The first quarter turn should be oriented perpendicular to the reflector, with an air gap of 1.8-2mm to optimize VSWR.
