4-Star Knob for M8 Hex Nut

This 1/4-inch hex screw knob is adapted from "noobcake's design":http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3596. Originally, the stock "7 bump knob" (refer to second photo for comparison) failed to secure metric M8 threaded clamps on an old drill press. However, with some modifications - fitting an M8 hex nut and adding a hole for a 3-inch bolt shaft - noobcake's design proved more effective. To print, use preferred SkeinForge settings; adjust infill solidity ratio to 0.3 for increased strength in star fingers. Post-printing, sand the back and front with 220 grit sandpaper, and ensure a snug fit of the M8 hex nut by cleaning out plastic debris and, optionally, heat-treating the nut using a flame.
