4-Star Knob for M8 Hex Nut fixed for print
thingiverse
The original print, seen on the left from this Thingiverse link (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3723), had some issues and reported errors with Slic3r 0.7.1 (installed via Pronterface). These were resolved using http://www.netfabb.com/stl_repair_fixing.php, and the corrected STL is now available for use to save time on fixing it again. The fixed print is on the right. I printed it with a 0.4 Nozzle, 0.2 Layer height, 3 perimeters, and 0.5 (50%) fill using Pronterface. It turned out well, but my M8 nuts measured 12.8 mm AF and were slightly loose in the nut recess, which seems to be designed for a 13.5 mm AF nut. However, a little hot melt glue did the trick to fix this issue!
