4" square lattice jig
thingiverse
To achieve a unique cedar fence appearance, I crafted a jig using my Replicator 2 3D printer for evenly spaced slats. The jig accommodates 5/8" wide slats with 4" spacing and can be connected for larger sections. Its built-in spring ensures pressure during gluing. A customizable SCAD file is available. Printing was straightforward, but occasional adhesion issues arose. Post-printing requires releasing the gripper's bridge by turning the jig upside down and using fingers to create a satisfying snap sound. Performing this on one side at a time makes it easier.
