4 servo walking robot base controled by servo tester
thingiverse
I envisioned crafting an old-school robot with a distinctive glide-slide walk action, relying on four servos and a servo tester as both manual and automatic controller. Servo testers proved remarkably affordable, often available for under $2 on eBay, while 9g servos were similarly budget-friendly, making this project seem like a worthwhile endeavor. Thus, I've made available the STL files for the feet, ratchets, legs, and body/battery box mount. You can observe the base unit in action by visiting YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSefJ1_X-xs. Additional footage is accessible at Part 2 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vNu6KSr4UI&feature=youtu.be. To stay updated on this project, follow it on Alphadrome at http://danefield.com/alpha/forums/topic/18899-alpha-strider-a-new-3d-printed-robot-project/. Printing Settings: Printer: Flash Forge Dreamer Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: Mid-level setting Infill: 15% Notes: I typically print PLA at about 210°C. Design Spark was used to create the 3D parts, while Mesh Mixer helped mirror certain components.
