A new design utilizes a 22-gauge annealed stainless steel cover, offering cost savings without sacrificing security. The hemmed edge provides added rigidity and strength for drawer support. Six M2 screws are needed to install the cover. Drawers require a .05 radius on the outside top edges that mate with sheet metal's inside bend radii. The guide is positioned 1 inch from the top of each drawer, regardless of size. Material options include acrylic, aluminum, or stainless steel for drawers, requiring two machining processes for side walls. A template frame may be built to replace old drawers and fastened to the back wall within containment unit restrictions. The 24V DC powered locks must be repositioned due to space limitations; a better solution will be sought to fit within the unit's constraints.
