Alfred the XIIth restored the episcopal and primatial seat of Tarragona. It was transformed urbanistically into the ancient Roman enclosure. Part of the Cathedral, the old Hospital of Saint Tecla, the Patriarch's Castle, and the building of the Vicariate Curia were constructed. The Cathedral was completed in 1331, and today's space occupied by Coques street was the city's religious epicenter.
