4 Max Pro Temperature Gauge
thingiverse
Hi Everyone! I'm excited to share with you how I installed a Temperature Gauge on my 4 Max Pro Printer, which gives me complete control over the inside temperature during printing. To ensure perfect prints, I like to preheat the printer to around 35 degrees Celsius before starting each print job. It doesn't take too long to reach this temperature. I've created a simple Temp Gauge installation guide, including two types of gauge holders that can be mounted on either the side or top of the printer. The cable and sensor holder makes it easy to install without glue, allowing for easy removal if needed. A 10mm hole will need to be drilled in one part, but this is an easy task for makers. The principle behind my design is straightforward: both parts are slotted to allow for easy insertion of the probe and wire into the male part A. Simply push the female part B into part A, making sure not to align the slots perfectly to ensure a tight seal, even if the 4 Max Pro isn't completely sealed. I'm using this temperature gauge from Amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07C7M7B39/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) and both holder designs are tailored to fit this specific model. Once installed, simply provide power to the gauge using a 5V-12V connection, which can be connected directly to the printer's PSU if desired. I hope you enjoy this project!
