4 Inch PVC Dust Collection Parts

Set of Y adapters and blast gates for using 4 inch PVC sewer pipe as a dust collection system. I never tried printing the 4 inch blast gate because my printer is too small. Most blast gates are in two halves, which can be welded together with acetone if printed with ABS. A special glue made for bonding ABS to PVC is also available at hardware stores near the PVC pipe section for permanent joints. I included a print-in-place version of one of the blast gates, but you'll need a printer with two nozzles and dissolving support filament to make it work properly. Hooks are designed so that the base plate can be screwed into the ceiling or wall first, then snapped in place after. It's a good idea to print just the ring portion for the connector part to ensure a proper fit. For extra strength, you can do three perimeters, but I find these are stronger than store-bought options on my printer anyway. As always, be sure to use a heated enclosure when attempting large ABS prints, as they will warp apart if not properly secured. Updated 2018-12-09: Added 2.5 inch to 2.5 inch mating adapter for connecting two pipes together. Updated 2019-01-03: Added 4 Inch Friction Fit adapter and a picture of it in use on a DeWalt planer.
