4 Inch Duct Gate Box
prusaprinters
Originally designed for paint booth building. It shares exhaust with the dryer and some air went out and some toward dryer even with a Y duct. Built one for each and to keep cold air out when not in use. Using one for the make up air for the furnace intake also. The box is designed to be easily cleaned by removing the gate, then lid and pulling the center gate box out. That way you could clean it,.. if need, without removing from the duct work. Gate lock will need a small spring (taken from a ballpoint pen) and cut to length. Created two different outer mounting boxes. The one in the picture is the Side Mount (gate pulls out the side). The other is Top Mount. You only need one of those. The mounting hole incase forgot to mention in pdf is #8 to mount to stud or drywall anchor. The inner (removable) gate box has description on top to match the male/female ends with and indication of direction of flow. Created a PDF to help with assembly. All parts slide together. Only the Gate Lock needs a little superglue. Should require very little if any sanding. Depending on your printer. The Gate Box modifier seems to add a little near the top where the gate enters. Tried to minimize as much as possible. It is important that when printing the Gate to let it COOL COMPLETELY before removing from the sheet. Got in a bit of a hurry in the one pictured, but putting it in the closed position as shown seems to have straightened it out. So now slides in and out fine.
