I design a part that pairs perfectly with this - CNC 4 inches VACUUM HOSE BRACKET for 80mm SPINDLE. - 3152659 - It will help to take the load off of the vacuum hose from the shoe! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3152659 UPDATE 23 NOV 2019 - I've added parts for a fast coupling solution, but only use them with Vacuum Hose Bracket. 24 OCT 2018 - TEST Part 100 020.3 - OK And it fits perfectly! Printer settings: CR10, n 0.4, f-asa, n245c, b110c, lh 0.2, if 60%,wt 1mm, tbt 1mm, f 0%, print in enclosed space 22 OCT Test part 100 020.2 - shoe - it's okay, but when not mounted... a perfect fit, but on position it becomes a little stiff! The router opening was a bit smaller than required for a perfect fit and I had to expand the part. I will modify the part (100 020.3) and see what happens! Router opening was enlarged by 0.3X2. 21 OCT Test part 100 021 - it's okay. Countersunk bolts work great. Part 100 020.2 is printing! 20 OCT I've added a new version of the shoe that accommodates D 8mm magnets. 14 Oct 4th Update - I've changed file 100 021 to 2mm chamfer on bolt holes. (I FOUND THAT THE CHAMFER VARY FROM 1.7 TO 2.3) ALSO I REDUCED THE GAP BETWEEN MAIN PART AND BRUSH HOLDER WITH .3 DO NOT PRINT - TEST - AND THE 3.4 CHAMFER IS NOT GOOD. BOLTS GET TOO DEEP. ALSO I INCREASED THE GAP BETWEEN MAIN PART AND BRUSH HOLDER! TO MUCH! UPDATE SOON! 13 Oct 3th Update - change file 100 021 to 3.4mm chamfer on bolt holes. 8 Oct New design - files 100 020, 100 021, 100 022 Main part - bolt changed from M10 to M8 - same length- 20mm 8 OCT I printed the part, everything was okay, test ABS - 0.4 layer; ASA - 0.4 layer, ASA 0.2 layer, however the main part looks fragile - I will redesign the entire unit! Design for 80mm router and 4” hose (connection outside 101mm) In order to avoid printing with support brush holder was designed in two parts and connected together with 8 M4 bolts, bolts used later to connect the brush holder to the main body via 8 magnets. The used brush is Easy cut strip brush as the one from Mc. Master. I do not endorse Mc Master, it's just an example. Brush needs to be drilled and tightened in place by 8 M3 bolts. You will need following parts listed below to complete the project: Nylon – insert lock-nut M4 X 0.7mm thread – 8pcs Flat washer M4 – 8pcs Bolt M4 X 0.7mm thread, 16mm long – 8pcs Nylon – insert locknut M10 X 1.5mm thread – 1pc Flat washer M10 – 1pc Bolt M10 X 1.5mm thread, 20mm long – 1pc Nylon – insert lock-nut M3 X 0.5mm thread – 8pcs Flat washer M4 – 8pcs Bolt M3 X 0.5mm thread, 22mm long – 8pcs Magnet - D 6mm H 4mm – 8pcs Brush - 635mm for each unit - Easy cut Strip – recommend different size 1”, 2” and 3” for 3 different brush holders. (1/4" Wide x 3/16" High Backing, 3" Overall Height) https://www.mcmaster.com/#7900t2/=1ayvc3a Please ensure those are the size of your router and vacuum hose before you download the design!
