4 Hex Segments Flower Pot
prusaprinters

This is a flower pot I designed for my wife when she brought home a bunch of small plants.

There are holes in the bottom of each of the cavities, and there are also holes between the cavities to aid in drainage in case one hole becomes clogged.

The drip tray has the same outline as the planter, and the planter locks into the drip tray at four points on the underside, so they won't easily separate when bumped or pushed.

I think it looks great when printed in wood PLA. It just gives it that adobe/clay look that looks great with a succulent in it.

I designed it in SolidWorks and included the SLDPRT files in case anyone wants to edit it.

Sorry about the poor color in the photos. I just wanted to get this posted so I could go do some work in the yard while the weather is nice.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

Prusa Mk2

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

20% Cubic

Notes:

I used a brass nozzle and had to replace the nozzle after finishing this print. I would definitely consider getting a hardened nozzle if you want to print more than one before changing nozzles.

Category: Outdoor & Garden
