4 Gage Ear Rings (Tube, Coffin, Skull)
thingiverse
I was browsing some new earrings and thought, Why not design and print my own? So I took action! These are a few of the 4 Gage earrings that I designed so far. I printed them in ABS because I wanted strong plastic that's easy to clean with soap and water or rubbing alcohol. I designed them with a depression to hold a small O ring, which prevents them from falling out (mine stay in place without it). I've worn one of them for a month now with no irritation or problems - I simply take them out once a week to give them a good cleaning. I'm printing two more of the three designs I have (the skull design is going tonight) and will share a picture when they're done. The Skull STL file is quite large, but I wanted to get as much detail into it as possible. I hope you like my creations - if so, be sure to hit the LIKE button and also click the MAKE button to try making your own! Share a picture of yours too! Print Settings: Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .20 Infill: 100% Notes: I printed them with supports directly on my glass bed. The Skull STL file is large, but I wanted to get the best detail possible. Post-Printing: The tube may require cleaning out its center if your printer leaves excess material inside. Any rough edges on the stem can be smoothed out with 320 grit sandpaper to make it easier on the earlobe. If you do this, be sure to wipe it down with rubbing alcohol to remove any plastic dust before putting it in your ear.
