Human: Make flames leap and sway to music with a Ruben's tube! This part enables you to attach a 100mm audio speaker driver to the end of a 4" metal vent pipe for use with a Rubens tube. The rubens tube generates a pressure wave within a tube full of propane or LP gas (modulated from any recorded audio source - like music) which causes flames to jump and react to music playing through the speaker. For more info check out this WikiPedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubens%27_tube Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 4 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Infill: 50 Notes: Support is built in to the model, so should not be necessary. Printing in ABS or temperature-tolerant material is advisable since the metal tube may heat up during use. Post-Printing Assembly Wrap a piece of mylar balloon or very thin foil around the outside of the tube before installing this adaptor, to keep the gas from leaking through your speaker cone - also providing a membrane for increased pressure. I recommend a temperature-tolerant silicone or caulking to attach the adaptor to the tube. I used brass heat-insert nuts (M3) and socket-cap screws to secure the speaker to the mount. I also applied high-temp silicone around the outside circumference of the speaker to create a better seal. I also designed several variations of a custom cap for the other end of the tube that fits a valve I salvaged from my BBQ grill. I'll upload that soon and link it here.
