4-bolt Magura Brake Booster
thingiverse
To create a brake booster for my trial bike, I initially considered waterjet cutting a 4-bolt design from 1/4" aluminum. However, the cost was prohibitive, so I decided to machine the parts myself using 1/4" aluminum instead. The spacing between the top bolt and bottom arch is 55mm, and I am utilizing 18mm spacers with 8.5mm outer diameter and 5mm inner diameter. For fastening, I'm employing 45mm M5 socket head cap screws. Note that these dimensions may vary depending on your brake clamps and mounts. After designing the part in Sw file format, I imported it into Mastercam for programming toolpaths and completed the cutting process.
