4" Bag Clip in PLA Fully Assembled
thingiverse
This is a custom remake of MasterFX's PLA Compatible Bag Clip design. This revised version offers more versatility, made longer to accommodate larger bags. Take note that I've created a parallel piece that can be linked here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:498030 . As measured, the total length is actually over 4 inches long; however, it will fit within a standard 100x100 print bed if you rotate your z-axis at precisely 23 degrees and realign the part accordingly. Be advised that you need to either omit or significantly bring in the skirt area (about 0.5mm works on a 100x100 print bed). My Printrbot Simple has no issue printing it, thanks to its fine layering. During my print, I utilized PLA material with 0.2mm layer height and a moderate infill of 33%, without needing any additional support. Bear in mind that a well-calibrated machine is necessary for producing the hinge mechanism correctly; if not done right, you may end up with incorrect separation and swiveling action. When completed, carefully bend both ends, near the central pivot, back and forth to facilitate disengagement of parts until they become loose and freely swivel.
