A 4-axis SCARA robotic arm, specifically designed to compete in Eurobot, boasts a range of impressive features. The fourth axis rotates continuously, with a custom collector that ensures uninterrupted air flow through four passages. An off-the-shelf collector facilitates seamless electrical power and CAN bus transmission. Each actuation motor has its own dedicated power & control board, and the upper arm structure houses four vacuum pumps. The Z axis can travel up to 228mm, while the arm extends fully to 212mm from shoulder axis to end effector central axis. Design credits go to Romain Bersier.
