Because of a mistake, he angered the people of his clan and was expelled from it. In order to return and reclaim his name, he ventured into the desert in search of a clan heirloom that was lost before the Wrath of the world began. His daughter, Torgga, accompanied him on the mission by choice. Both were born within the walls of Quercus fortress, and upon discovering how precarious it was to travel through the desert, he hid his fear and doubts to not discourage his daughter. On the journey he found a new understanding of the connection between life and the importance of death that nurtured the value of his calling as a cleric.
