4.8:1 Nema 17 3d Printed Planetary Gearbox by HodgerTech
thingiverse
Please examine the attached PDF for assembly and BOM information. This design can be entirely 3D printed without requiring any support material, but some post-processing is necessary, such as drilling out 3mm holes. The estimated total cost comes in around $13 USD. Additionally, I've included a .STEP file that allows you to edit the design for your specific needs. Please note that this is intended solely for non-commercial use. When assembling the gearbox, make sure not to fully tighten the planet gears into the coupler. Instead, they should spin freely until they are properly aligned. This 4.8:1 gearbox can be easily modified to serve as part of an extruder, motion system, or drive system, among other applications. With 16 micro-steps and a 1.8-degree NEMA 17 motor, it will provide approximately 400 steps per mm. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask!
