$4.70Wheel Chock Set - 70mm (2.75 inch)

A durable scale wheel chock set for medium size model aircraft, featuring two distinct base plates, is designed to secure the aircraft's wheels during transportation and at the field. The components can be easily 3D printed without support on a modern, affordable 3D printer. These objects can be printed with various materials, including PLA, PETG, ABS, and other printable materials. PLA works exceptionally well for this application due to its ease of printing. The wheel chocks parts should be strong, easy to maintain, and long-lasting. However, they must not be stored or exposed to high temperatures exceeding ~55 C (~ 130 F). If the wheel chocks components are left in a high-temperature environment, such as a parked car in the summer, I strongly recommend using heat-tolerant materials like PETG or ABS to prevent warping. I have successfully utilized these wheel chock sets since 2018 to stabilize my .40 to .60 size models both at the field and during transportation. They work effectively to prevent the model from rolling off a table. The model aircraft depicted in the pictures is an 68 in., 8.8 lbs (~1.3 meter, 4Kg), Black Horse Wilga, courtesy of Jim Ogorek.
