4-5mm Dyneema Cord Pulley using 608Z Bearing

thingiverse

I designed a new bearing pulley to test string-powered propulsion and suspension adjustment on my Solar Muscle Electric Vehicles (SMEV) development. The pulley is made with 4mm Dyneema cord featuring 1300dN design strength, but I'm unsure how continuous loads and high pressure will affect the PETG printed pulleys. If necessary, I may upgrade to nylon or have them machined from aluminum. Using multiple block-and-tackle pulleys distributes force across multiple strings, hopefully keeping it within an acceptable range. If I create a spreadsheet to calculate forces, I'll share it later. The FreeCAD source is included for modification and sharing. Soon, I may offer this component along with bearing and spacers on Ebay, as part of the project.
