I attempted crafting bearings using 4.5mm airgun BBs. Below is a video demonstrating how I created the bearing: https://youtu.be/ymC9LT3nthI It functions quite effectively. To produce bearings for 4.5mm BBs, you must create a 5mm channel. My initial attempt was 4.7mm and the balls are so tightly packed that it's as stiff as stone. Although I'm aware that bearings from China cost less than the time I invested, this method appears to be a quick way to make custom bearings on demand. You could, for instance, create a square mounting plate with an integrated bearing of a customized size.
