4"/5" true x race drone
thingiverse
This is my first design of a 4-inch racerdrone, and it's currently being built, but I'm still waiting on a few parts before taking to the skies. I designed it to be super versatile, allowing me to change up the camera tilt to suit my needs, and it's easily compatible with a GoPro on top. The arms are designed with a quick-release mechanism that lets me swap them out in no time - just remove three screws from the bottom, and I'm good to go without having to disassemble the whole stack. Safety features abound here too - each arm has a tiny 1mm thick edge at the end that acts as a breaking point, which might just save my drone's arm in a crash. 07-12-2018 I've added a new 5-inch drone arm to the mix, but it still only comes with 19x16 mounting holes - it'll be updated soon. This arm is powered by 1806 motors. 12-12-2018 The 5-inch arm has been upgraded with holes for 2205 motors.
