This is a compact LiPo battery powered display console. Main features: * A 4.2 inch, 400x300 pixel E-Ink E-Paper Display Module * An ESP32 Lolin32 board * Four capacitive touch buttons * A 3.7V, 1000mAh LiPo battery **Note:** LiPo batteries pose a fire risk. Test the proper charge and discharge behavior of any used board. Buy high-quality products. Avoid using damaged or puffy LiPo batteries. Regularly check the device. Never leave it charging unattended. Remove the LiPo battery when not in use and store it safely. Dispose of the battery correctly. I am using this console to control various home automation features. The 4 touch buttons act as soft keys, while the ESP32 typically operates in deep sleep mode, waking up every minute to update the time or respond to button presses. Communication is achieved through Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) with a central unit that provides characteristics for current time and status information to be displayed. Additional BLE characteristics are available for controlling home automation functions. I chose BLE to minimize power consumption. A 1000mAh battery should last five days. An optional wireless Qi receiver module can be used for convenient LiPo battery charging. BoM: * LOLIN32 V1.0.0-ESP32 * A Qi wireless charging receiver module (optional) * Waveshare's 4.2 inch, 400x300 pixel E-Ink E-Paper Display Module - B/W version to enable fast partial updates * A LiPo battery with a 2-pin JST-PH connector * Four thumbtacks * Dupont jumper wire (optional if you don't want to solder the buttons directly) * Screws and nuts
