4:1 Print in Place Gearbox
thingiverse
A straightforward 4:1 ratio gearbox that prints without support material in its entirety, capable of operating with either single or dual extrusion systems. Its axles are strategically separated from the frame by a .75mm gap, allowing them full rotation freedom while all printed components form a cohesive unit. After the print is complete, it may be essential to carefully dislodge the axles using gentle force. Due to their slender design, printing with relatively dense infill is recommended for the axles. The frame and axles alike feature 4mm mounting holes in various locations, as well as 5mm cubic inserts that facilitate secure connections between components and axle shafts.
