Pioneer teams are sent out to habitable planets to conduct in person research of the natural resources, and to set up working settlements for colonists to arrive. Many planets are simply mined for profit and others are colonised - space is now big business! For her latest mission, Niko has found herself with the Everest Pioneer Team on Planet 579a in the Milky Way Galaxy, named Aether. The planet Aether has rich biodiversity, an acceptable atmosphere for humans and slightly higher gravity than Earth. It's Niko's job to catelogue all the different types of rocks found on the new planet, analysing them in the Rock Analysis Machine (a 3D mini in the Space Pioneers collection) and figuring out the value of precious metals within. Is it worth starting a mining operation on the planet? Niko will determine this. What area is stable enough for building a permanent settlement?
