Sidney shouted up at Abel as the warrior stood on the ramparts of the city wall high above him.  The Captain of the Order of the Dragon was standing statuesque, focused with his giant spear in hand.  What had started as a heated drunken discussion turned argument last night had escalated into a live demonstration today. It all seemed so clear in Abel's head. The enemy would expect a frontal attack. They may even be somewhat prepared to deal with flanking and rear attacks, but could they possibly expect an attack from the air? This theory is what he had proposed to the diminutive engineer who accused him of just being suicidal.  "No way can anyone, let alone you, jump from such a height and land with great accuracy to spear an opponent. Then there is the question of injuring yourself in the process. It's a suicide mission, I tell you!" However, with the practice dummy no more than 12 feet away from where the dwarf stood, he proceeded to witness the man at the top of the castle jump and descend by the most direct route possible, perfectly skewering the target right through the head.  Abel rose to his feet unscathed, "see?". "Oh, my, oh my, oh my, my boy, you weren't kidding. That was amazing, probably one of the most amazing things I have seen in all my days," and the old dwarf wasn't kidding. "I should have believed you last night; however, you have convinced me, right here and now!  I'll make you your cruiser. Let's take this conversation to my workshop I feel there is no time to waste!" So from a drunken night at the tavern and a potential reckless demonstration, the Talarian Airship was conceived. These airships levitate and fly using grav engines designed by Sidney, which keep these battle barges in the air.  Powered by the Esper crystals containing the souls of creatures with a strong affinity to the air element.  This is the key to making everything function, enabling these agile ships to deliver their deadly payload into the heart of the enemy. As the dwarf constructed, Abel had only one task set him by the engineer. He needed to hunt the wind drakes to capture their souls, for this is what's inside the crystals.  This task quickly became the right of passage, the initiation ceremony into the Order of the Dragon.  It serves two purposes, supplying Sidney with the means to power his airships and proving that the warriors are the correct ones to ride in them.
