Pioneer teams are sent out to habitable planets to conduct in person research of the natural resources, and to set up working settlements for colonists to arrive. Many planets are simply mined for profit and others are colonised - space is now big business! For her latest mission, Kaitlin has found herself with the Everest Pioneer Team on Planet 579a in the Milky Way Galaxy, named Aether. The planet Aether has rich biodiversity, an acceptable atmosphere for humans and slightly higher gravity than Earth. It's Kaitlin's job to research and categloue to local floral and fauna. Initial planet scans determine a lot of what lives on a new planet before a team is sent down, but Kaitlin can analyse it's chemistry in much greater detail, looking for useful medicinal plants. Plus, she observes the wildlife to learn more about how to ecosystem works, giving as complete a picture as possible of the life on an alien planet and humanity can integrate with it.  Kaitlin Goodhope is part of the Space Pioneers Collection of 3D miniatures, which was first available on our Patreon channel in February 2021.
