3x3 Spinning Tracker
thingiverse
I work behind the scenes on a live show, and one of the automation consoles features three distinct variables that shift every night. To avoid getting bogged down in a sea of post-it notes tracking each change, I collaborated with a technician who sketched out a rough design that I then refined into this. Gravity and the triangular shape effectively keep the spinners in place. Simply print it, then add labels to each spinner's face as needed.\r\n\r\nPrinting Tips:\r\nFor added stability, consider increasing the number of bottom layers or boosting the infill percentage since the design is naturally top-heavy. It probably won't make a significant difference, but printing the axle at 100% infill simplifies the process. The axle and base should have a snug fit without requiring glue due to their close tolerance. To minimize warping caused by radiant heat from the hot end, I recommend printing faster when creating the axle.
