3x3 Holder
thingiverse
My wife needed a holder for her lipsticks, so she could easily see the color labels in her drawer. She sketched out a design on paper and handed it to me to bring to life. I took her drawing and turned it into a digital blueprint that I printed out. The design allows for nine items, each up to 30 millimeters in diameter, to be held upright in a three by three grid layout. To make it easier for others to modify the design as they see fit, I've included the 123D Design file. Note: This model needs to be printed upside down to prevent any need for supports during printing. Print Settings: Printer: XYZPrinting Da Vinci 1.0A Rafts: No rafts are required for this print job. Supports: Supports are not necessary due to the design's layout. Resolution: The recommended resolution is 0.2 millimeters for optimal results. Infill: A 20% infill setting will provide a good balance between strength and weight. Notes: You can experiment with different print settings if you like, but the example photo shows the result of printing in ABS plastic at a 0.2mm resolution with a 20% infill setting.
