3uP Fan Bracket - FINALLY

3uP Fan Bracket - FINALLY

thingiverse

Yes! Finally, a fan bracket for the 3uP that keeps print temperatures at bay without sacrificing valuable printing space (you might give up a small square in the front right corner, but it's close enough!). I wouldn't have bothered creating a fan bracket if it meant losing any printing real estate, but I've found a way to make it work, and it really works great. To set it up, you'll need: A few basic tools, including four M3 x 20mm bolts and four matching hex nuts. One 40mm, 12-volt fan that fits perfectly in the middle. Please note that this setup only works with my custom e3D extruder and e3D V6 hot end. Using it with any other combination is done at your own risk. Here's what to do: Print both parts separately. Assemble them together by sandwiching the fan between them. Make sure to bolt through the duct side first, so that the hex nuts will face up once you're done assembling it. Mount it securely to the bottom right bolt hole on the extruder using two longer 45mm bolts. Keep in mind: The images only show me using 25mm bolts. You'll have a neater finish and be able to use all four holes if you use 20mm bolts instead.
