3u Rack Shoes for Blackmagic Smartscope Duo
thingiverse
Here are 3u Rack "shoes" I created for desktop mounting of a device normally mounted in a 19" rack. It's designed to be used with a Blackmagic Smartscope Duo, but can be used for any 3u rack device that is very shallow in depth. A simple nut and bolt through the top two mounting holes are sufficient to hold the display as the bottom slot holds the bottom securely. This design works well for this device because there are no controls on the device (buttons or switches) that need to be manipulated. It just needs to be held in a good viewing position. I printed this in PET-G, and I've included STLs for the right and left shoes and a dummy for the display. Print Settings Printer: Home-built CoreXY Marlin-based printer. Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .25 mm layer height Infill: 25% Notes: Printed using a .6mm Volcano extruder. How I Designed This Designed using Fusion360. The display is tilted back 15 degrees.
