I designed this fidget spinner toy to minimize the number of bearings required, unlike other designs. I opted for a more affordable 22mm (ABEC 5) double shielded bearing in the center. With a pick, I carefully removed the shields and then cleaned it out with brake cleaner and compressed air. This modification significantly increased the spin time from 10-20 seconds to over a minute. To enhance user experience, I installed a star button through the center bearing, which provides added standoff distance. This helps keep hands clear when spinning and allows users to place the spinner on a flat surface for maximum spin performance. I selected 10mm and 8mm diameter ball bearings for the outside weights.
