3rd order Sierpinski curve
thingiverse
This is a 3rd order Sierpiński curve extruded along the Z axis. I hacked a modified version of a BASIC program from the July 1984 issue of Creative Computing magazine to run under Chipmunk Basic on my Mac. I made key changes to the code to save a text file with end point coordinates for each line. Then, I created an empty SVG document using Inkscape and opened it in Sublime Text editor, adding points that corresponded to those saved by my program. Next, I loaded this new data into Inkscape and exported it as an Open SCAD file. After which I transformed it into an STL format. The original BASIC source code is available here: https://archive.org/details/creativecomputing-1984-07 The modified program includes the full source code and basic documentation.
