3rd Hand Light

3rd Hand Light

This project is a work in progress involving "helping hands" or additional support for various tasks. It includes LEDs, resistors, wire, and solder. The 3D printed base should have the bevel facing up, while the cap should be printed with the aligning pegs oriented upward. Place the LEDs into the designated gaps, using the center gap for the cathode and the lower gap for the anode. Solder the anodes to current-limiting resistors, then insert these into the holding gaps and solder them to a solid copper wire in the top gap. The cathodes should be soldered directly to the copper wire in the middle gap, spanning the resistors across it. For more detailed instructions, visit http://robotranch.org/blog/archives/443.
