3rd Gen 4Runner Center Console Switch Plate

This is a switch plate for the cubby area of late 3rd Gen 4Runner center consoles('98-00 I believe). This print is for any late 3rd Gen 4Runner center console, whether you just want more switches available or you swapped to the new console to get cupholders and don't want to lose your center switches. I made this because, when switching from my '96 console to the '98 to get two cupholders, I was going to lose four switch slots(two of which are used in mine). I didn't want to move my switches to the dashboard switch area, so I created this switch plate which sandwiches between the cubby area and the front fascia plastic. You'll need to make a hole toward the bottom of the cubby area to fit the wires in. The plate only goes in one way(you'll see, one side is a bit angled) and is held in place by the big plastic bottom piece of the console which includes the cupholders. A little finagling to get the wires for the switch routed around the bottom of the cupholders, but not bad overall. I printed this originally in ABS but it should be fine in PLA, and additionally I made it a bit thicker and the holes bigger to make the switches fit in better. Fits the OEM switches and many other ones pretty snugly, let me know if you have any feedback. Print Settings Printer Brand: Monoprice Printer: Maker Select Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .15 Infill: 100% Notes: Use raft or brim, whatever you prefer and whatever helps ABS stick to your bed. ABS will withstand the heat inside a vehicle better, but would probably work in PLA. It feels a little bendy until it's sandwiched in place, where it seems pretty sturdy. Category: Automotive
