3rd Gen 4Runner Cargo Door Strut Bushing
thingiverse
I designed several models for the bushing in the upper strut mount for the rear cargo door. These things inevitably wear out and, to my knowledge, no replacement is available for purchase. There are two models - one like the original bushing design, and another that I think works better under the circumstances. The first picture shows the factory style installed, while the second picture shows the other design. I dimensioned everything on a large scale to account for wear tolerances already in the mount and pin. That being said, these may not fit right away (or they might) - they will probably need to be massaged a bit to work for your application, but it's better than being too loose from the start. One thing I did was run a 5/16 drill bit through the hole to clean it up and do some filing here and there. The factory style might work better if the hole was only cleaned up on the flat side just beyond where the taper begins - this might help spread out the "fingers" to lock it in place as the pin is slid in. I printed these in ABS for durability, PLA would probably also work since they don't have a lot of freedom of movement to warp.
